I was shocked!
I have never seen her
be so involved before. She is really responding well to the drama.
Thank you

Work in Schools

Play-a-Part can deliver whole day or half day workshops in schools. Our workshops have direct links to the National Curriculum and are in line with Every Child Matters guidelines. We can be very flexible to the aims and targets of each school.

We provide fun, interactive and engaging drama workshops for children of all ages. You will be surprised when, even the less motivated, children will be engaged and participating.

Please see our previous projects section for examples of our work.

Here is what we offer:

Child Rights and Citizenship

age 4-18

Participatory drama workshops will educate children about their rights, human rights legislation and what it means to be responsible and active citizens in society. The workshops have direct links to the PSHE and Citizenship curriculum, though a cross-curricular approach is also taken into consideration ensuring schools and children are getting the most out of the workshop and helping schools to achieve and keep National Healthy School Status.

Healthy Living and Food

age 4-11

Children will explore and discuss the importance of living a healthy life and eating a balanced diet through the use of drama games and exercises. Each workshop will build up to small performances where consequences and outcomes of different lifestyles are discovered and acted out by the children. The workshops are tailored around the National healthy School Status guidelines.

Staff Training In Child Rights and Youth Participation

Staff will be taken through an experiential learning process exploring children’s rights and youth participation and how to put that into practice. After the training staff will walk away equipped with basic knowledge about children’s rights, youth participation, how to implement it and games and exercises to introduce into the classroom.

See how Play-a-Part can help you!
